This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, stored, deleted and shared when you visit or make a purchase from carbonremoved.com, cdrplatform.com, netzero.biz and climacrux.com referred to as “the Site” throughout the privacy policy.

Scope of the Processing of Personal Data

The processing of personal data is limited to data that is required to operate a functional website and for the provision of content and services. Personal Information we collect

As we use a third party, Stripe, to process online payments, we don’t collect your Payment Information. Stripe collects your Payment Information to provide a safe and secure online payment service. The information we have access to via Stripe includes your email address, name, removal amount, removal plan and purchase date.

Product Information

When you purchase or attempt to make a gift card purchase you are asked to choose a removal option (removal amount, subscription duration) and enter information about the giver (name), the recipient (name, email address), desired language and recipient notification date additionally to the payment information. We refer to this information as “Product Information”.

Account Information

Additional data may be gathered to provide personalised services including, but not limited to, first and last name, email address and geo-location.

Contact Information

We provide you with the possibility to get in contact with us through a contact form. By doing that you provide us with personal data such as full name, email address and maybe other personal data you share with us through the message field.

Newsletter Information

On the Site there is the possibility to sign up for a newsletter. By signing up you provide us with personal data such as your name and email address.


How we use your Personal Information

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimise the Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Stripe uses the Payment Information that it collects to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including, but not limited to, processing your payment; your Payment Information; and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). We use the Payment Information we have access to (email address, name, removal amount and purchase date) to issue you with removal certificates; send you our newsletter and remove the correct amount of CO₂.

We use the Product Information to create the gift card (giver’s name, receiver’s name, removal amount, subscription duration); to send the gift card, notification emails and newsletters; issue removal certificates to the receiver (email address); and remove the correct amount of CO₂ in the correct time frame (removal amount, subscription duration). The recipient has the possibility to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Account information is saved to display in our online account; offer personalised services; for market research; and to better understand our users and how they use our service.

The Contact Information we save for the purpose of processing the request and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

The Newsletter Information we use to provide you with regular updates. You have the possibility to unsubscribe at any time.


Sharing your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.
